Position Overview

The Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) is in search of a dynamic leader with a solid history in enhancing processes and fostering collaboration among teams for the role of Warehouse Services Manager.

This role is pivotal in managing the core operations that ensure our services run smoothly, encompassing inventory and warehouse oversight, procurement, fleet administration, and facility management. Effective communication with both internal teams and external partners is crucial, making strong verbal and written communication skills a necessity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with vendors and contractors across various disciplines and locations, requiring exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to cultivate strong partnerships.

Fortunately, you will have the support of an established and respected team within the company that collaborates effectively. As part of the Finance division, you will benefit from the guidance of dedicated colleagues, many of whom have experience in this role and can provide valuable mentorship.

The ideal applicant will possess a foundational understanding of the electric utility sector, particularly regarding inventory requirements and terminology. Experience in team leadership, proven negotiation capabilities, and the ability to achieve results with vendor-related challenges are essential. Additionally, the ability to collaborate and reach consensus among diverse stakeholders with varying priorities is critical. A degree in Business Administration or a related field is highly advantageous.
