Job Summary

As a Laborer Assistant at Craft Recruiting, you will play a vital role in supporting skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties. This position requires physical labor at construction sites, and the ideal candidate will have the ability to perform a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in setting up work as required, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

• Follow instructions given by superintendents, foremen, and other experienced crew members, demonstrating strong communication skills.

• Perform all required duties with a focus on safety, adhering to jobsite safety rules and policies.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring a productive and efficient work environment.

• Read and understand warning signs, operating instructions for equipment, and jobsite safety rules and policies, demonstrating a commitment to safety.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in the field or a related area.

• Strong working knowledge skills and abilities for the position, with the ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.

• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools, as well as measurement tools.

• Ability to work in a construction environment, exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions, and work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.

• Must be able to move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces, and complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment.

• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical, and background check.
