Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Weinberg Campus. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in our geriatric population. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in geriatric residents
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address resident needs
* Provide speech and language therapy to residents in a variety of settings, including individual and group sessions
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for residents
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and treatment plans

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
* New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
* Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Working Conditions:

* Must be able to work in a geriatric setting and interact with residents in a sensitive and empathetic manner
* May be exposed to human bodily fluids

Personal Requirements:

* Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently
* Must be able to lift 30 pounds with assistance as needed
* Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time

Education:

* Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
* New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
* Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
