We are currently seeking a Lead Systems Engineer specializing in Model-Based Systems Engineering to assist the Naval Surface Warfare Center-Philadelphia Division. This role involves analyzing HM&E machinery and ship control systems, focusing on sensor and control data for various surface ship classes. Responsibilities include performing analytical and algorithmic software engineering, along with technical, logistical, and programmatic support for the development, prototyping, implementation, and in-service support of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop models, architectural products, and digital artifacts for systems or System-of-Systems (SoS) in line with established standards and best practices.
  • Utilize modeling techniques to support requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Ensure interoperability of systems through comprehensive support.
  • Generate reports to facilitate management of MBSE/digital environment activities and informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate information and resources to achieve digital thread-related objectives.
  • Promote a model-based culture by leveraging the capabilities of the organization's digital enterprise infrastructure.
  • Employ model data to create a digital thread across various engineering disciplines, including cyber and configuration management.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Master's Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor's Degree accompanied by seven (7) years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing, analyzing, implementing, optimizing, profiling, and experimentally evaluating machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience with data pertaining to industrial or maritime control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on large data sets and machine learning model implementation.
  • Proficiency in functional programming and comparative data analysis to evaluate algorithm performance.
  • Expertise in software development and analysis using MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools.
  • One of the following IAT-Level III Certifications: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
