**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Grandview Medical Center. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our patients under the direction and supervision of Physical Therapists.

**Responsibilities:**

* Treat patients through exercise, massage, gait, balance training, education, and other therapeutic interventions in accordance with State Regulation and departmental policies.

* Record the patient's progress and report the results of each treatment to the Physical Therapist.

* Communicate regularly with members of the patient care team, the patient, family members, and others involved with the patient's care.

* Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.

* Assist a Physical Therapist with a patient's rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility.

* Assist in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation, and testing.

**Requirements:**

* Associate's degree from an accredited program and licensure as a physical therapist assistant, bachelors degree preferred.

* Physical Therapist Assistant License issued by the State of Alabama.

* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
