Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Concrete Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive bids for construction projects over $20 million. Your expertise in concrete estimating, particularly in structural, tiltwall, retaining walls, curb, gutter, sidewalk, and architectural paving, will be invaluable to our company.
Responsibilities:- Attend pre-bid meetings and prepare detailed bids for construction projects.
- Conduct site visits to determine project parameters and identify suitable subcontractors.
- Organize and review drawings and details, takeoff's, RFI's, and calculate labor estimates.
- Hold in-house pre-bid meetings and delegate bid day duties.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate bid proposals for various private projects.
- Assist with initial project setup and interact with project management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of self-performing concrete estimating experience.
- 5+ years of experience with curb, sidewalk, gutter, architectural paving, retaining walls, tilt walls, structural, stemwall, spread footings, and structural suspended slabs.
- Proven experience landing work in both the private and public market.
- Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and Outlook.
