About this Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our Home Lending group as part of Consumer Technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead complex technology initiatives and develop standards and best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex technology initiatives, including those with broad impact, and develop standards and best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs.
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges.
  • Make decisions in developing standard and company-wide best practices for engineering and technology solutions, influencing and leading technology teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with application monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, App Dynamics, Google Logging, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud applications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of Production Application Support processes, including ITIL methodology.
  • Thorough understanding of application environment implementations, including on-prem, client-server, on-prem cloud (Azure or Pivotal Cloud Foundry), hybrid cloud, and public cloud.
  • Experience using and configuring Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CICD) tools, including Jenkins, Artifactory, Udeploy, and Terraform.
  • Experience with building Automation playbooks with Ansible or equivalent.
  • Experience implementing application Observability through tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic, BigPanda (AIOPS), Grafana, and Microsoft Application Insights.
  • Understanding and experience in implementing infrastructure and application resiliency, including load balancers (F5, AVI) and data replication techniques.
  • Experience supporting Java and.NET applications, RDBMS experience with Oracle and MSSQL, and MongoDB.
Job Expectations
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • Periodic availability for evening and weekend On-Call.
  • Expectation of at least 3 days per week in office.
