Role Summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for a Configuration Management Lead to support the Sentinel Program. This role is based in Roy, UT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team overseeing Configuration and Data Management (CMDM) and Project Change Engineering (PCE) for the Sentinel Program.
  • Collaborate closely with program leadership to ensure the achievement of both long-term and short-term objectives.
  • Ensure that Configuration and Data Management practices align with programmatic, contractual, and management plan requirements.
  • Enhance processes and procedures to fulfill contractual obligations and align with industry best practices.
  • Support program management and engineering leadership in daily CMDM and PCE activities.
  • Foster strong relationships with customer representatives and engage as necessary to support project scope.
  • Deliver clear and concise status reports and key performance indicators.

The selected candidate will also manage a section of configuration analysts within the Systems Engineering organization, reporting directly to a Systems Engineering Department Manager. Responsibilities include providing career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team, focusing on personnel performance management, process training, and project staffing.

Work Schedule

This position follows a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees to work nine-hour days from Monday to Thursday and take every other Friday off.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6 years in a related field, or a Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • At least 1 year of experience in project leadership or performance management.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Configuration and Data Management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience presenting to project and program management, technical managers, and clients.

Preferred:

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Familiarity with common CMDM tools such as TeamCenter, SharePoint, MES, JIRA, SAP, DOORS, and Cameo.
  • Experience collaborating across teams to support CMDM execution.
  • Proven success in leading teams towards common objectives.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills.
