Physician-Supported Athletic Training Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician-Supported Athletic Training Specialist to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide top-notch athletic training services to our clients.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience. As an Athletic Training Specialist, you will be responsible for providing injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services to athletes in various settings. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients while working collaboratively with our medical team to provide exceptional care.

Responsibilities- Establish and maintain effective athletic training programs for our contracted organizations, including developing policies and procedures manuals.
- Provide athletic training services during events and competitions, creating a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
- Coordinate, manage, and implement medical and risk management strategies for athletes, including preventative care, emergency care, and maintaining health records.
- Act as a workers' compensation case manager, submitting insurance information, facilitating referrals, tracking claims, and reporting back to the organization within HIPAA/FERPA guidelines.
- Demonstrate speed, efficiency, and flexibility in providing care, utilizing effective critical thinking skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program.
- BOC certification and licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of New York.
- Current BLS certification and Personal Liability Insurance.
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to fluid situations.
- Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 per year.
- Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus, including relocation reimbursement of up to $2,500.
