Job Summary

HALO Precision Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled Patient Navigator to join our team in Encinitas, CA. As a Patient Navigator, you will play a critical role in collaborating with our clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide genetics education to high-risk patients and their families.
  • Coordinate registration and scheduling for genetic testing, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Collect and process specimens for genetic testing, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, radiologists, pathologists, and referring physicians, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for genetic testing.
  • Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and support.
  • Distribute positive genetic test results to referring physicians, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
Requirements
  • 1 year of certified medical assistant experience in imaging, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
