Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psycho-educational assessments, developing interventions, and providing support to students, teachers, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
- Develop and implement interventions to support students' academic and behavioral growth.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to provide support and resources to students.
- Participate in SSTs to support general education students in the intervention process.
- Assist school personnel in providing assistance during crises and ensure availability to counsel students referred to them.
- Conduct and attend in-service training and presentations to teachers, parents, and school faculties.
- Develop written documents of various comprehensive assessments for supplemental files.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement efforts for all departmental processes.
- Must hold or be eligible for a valid certificate in school psychology.
- National Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) certification preferred.
- Completion of a state-approved certification preparation program in school psychology at the specialist degree level or higher, or completion of a master's degree plus 60 graduate semester hours/90 quarter hours of school psychology course work from a National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)-approved program.
- Completion of a successful year's internship in conjunction with public schools following conferred degree required.
- Three years experience as a school psychologist preferred.
The School Psychologist I will work in a fast-paced educational environment, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
