Job Summary

Bowhead is seeking a highly skilled Training Specialist, Mid to support the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC), Space and Missile Defense (SDM) Center of Excellence (SMDCoE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge of missile defense capabilities and support to Army operations.
  • Conduct training on Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) operations and GMD Fire Control (GFC) operations.
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain education and training in accordance with TR series and Army accreditation standards.
  • Conduct research on new threats and emerging Army missile defense capabilities, update existing training materials as necessary, and develop new training materials after analyzing the results of the research.
  • Travel to conduct training as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a High School education.
  • 5+ years of missile defense, radar, or C2BMC related military experience.
  • Understanding of missile defense fundamentals and missile defense operations.
  • Experience and understanding of military operations.
  • Experience with Command and Control (C2) systems such as GMD, C2BMC, ADSI, Tac Planner, etc.
  • Experience evaluating personnel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Previous instructor-facilitator experience.
  • Ability to brief higher ranking officials.
  • Understand the MDMP process.
  • Ability to articulate missile defense to non-missile defense personnel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the ADDIE model.
  • Ability to travel as required to provide training.
Desired Knowledge/Skills
  • MOSQ: 14A, 14H, 140A with ASI, T3, Y7, 3Y and/or ASI D4
  • Graduate of a military instructor training course (CFD-IC, ITC/SGITC, FIFC, ABIC, AFBIC, etc.).
  • GFC Qualification Course, GMD Leader Development Course, GMD Master Gunner Course, Army GMD Staff Course, GMD Missile Defense Officer Course, GMD NORAD/NORTHCOM Command and Control Course, GMD System Trainer Course, Sensor Manager Qualification Course, or other relevant space or missile defense courses.
  • Previous assignments in GMD.
  • Work well with other professionals in an office environment.
  • Ability to perform quality research on capabilities/limitations of the GFC.
Security Clearance Requirements

Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level (or higher) and be eligible for Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement at this location.
