Employment Status: Non-Exempt

General Overview of Responsibilities:

The Custodial Maintenance Worker is accountable for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, including offices and restrooms. This role involves routine manual tasks that require frequent oversight and guidance from the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, furniture, windows, and light fixtures; vacuum carpets as necessary.
  • Strip and wax floors, and shampoo carpets to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  • Thoroughly clean restrooms and ensure they are well-stocked.
  • Manage waste disposal and keep waste areas organized and tidy.
  • Monitor and maintain the inventory of custodial supplies assigned to the position.
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the supervisor.

Supervision:

Tasks are performed under the guidance of the Custodial Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Skills and Competencies:

  • Capability to lift weights up to 75 pounds as required.
  • Ability to remain in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members.
  • Proficient oral and written communication abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent training and/or experience.
