Job Summary

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of campus buildings. This role involves providing operational support for events and gatherings, relocating classroom furniture, and responding to service requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain campus buildings using required equipment, chemicals, and methods.
  • Maintain classroom and restroom supplies, and keep assigned supply closets stocked.
  • Follow management's instructions for the use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Operate vehicles, including lift-gate and fork trucks.
  • Perform seasonal work, including grounds keeping, floor refinishing, and clearing snow and ice from campus walkways and building entrances.
  • Install common classroom fixtures, such as paper dispensers.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Physical ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability in the cleaning and maintenance of commercial buildings.
  • Experience with commercial painting, wall repair, and property maintenance.
Work Environment

This role is based in Dearborn, MI, and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
