Position Summary:
Esse Health is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to function as a companywide float. The Healthcare Assistant Float will be required to travel to various Esse Health locations within the greater St. Louis area and select sites in Illinois.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the guidance of the Office Manager and/or Physician.
- Conduct patient interviews and measure vital signs, including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Document patient information accurately in charts or electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide front office support, which includes answering phone calls and scheduling appointments.
The Healthcare Assistant will maintain a prominent presence in patient interactions, necessitating a consistently positive demeanor, which includes:
- Greeting patients warmly and with enthusiasm.
- Exuding a cheerful and positive attitude in all engagements with patients and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant training program, evidenced by a graduation certificate.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Proficiency in PC/Windows and medical coding.
- A strong commitment to prioritizing patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate harmoniously with physicians, colleagues, and staff from other departments.
