Job Title: Quality Control Group Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Group Leader to oversee the quality control operations in our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Quality Control Operations: Oversee the quality control operations during the designated shift, including measuring products by CMM and maintaining the overall plant quality system.
  2. Team Leadership: Direct Team Leaders and other Team Members in assigned manufacturing area in the execution of the group's responsibilities.
  3. Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement activities for assigned area, including participating in the setting of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets and maintaining, monitoring, and updating department and KPI board and graphs.
  4. Safety and Quality: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and company safety policies and procedures. Investigate and countermeasure internal quality defects to improve plant processes.
  5. Training and Development: Train and coach team members to maintain productivity and quality standards, including orientating and overseeing all training of team members and assigning experienced and/or certified trainers to perform new team member training and cross-training as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Associate's degree required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of relevant manufacturing experience required. Products measurement experience, especially CMM experience. Automotive industry experience preferred with parts production, quality, or production control experience a plus.
  • Personal/Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job functions of a leadership role. General understanding and practical work experience with automotive quality systems and processes. CMM measurement knowledge. General understanding and working knowledge of inspection standards and check fixtures.
Work Environment/Conditions:

The Quality Control Group Leader will work in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment with moderate noise levels. The position requires the ability to work a fixed or rotating shift schedule, including daily or weekend overtime. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, Kevlar sleeves, hearing protection, etc. may be required in designated engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas.
