Education Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Education Specialist to join the Lynn Public Schools team as a primary instructional delivery person in the classroom. The ideal candidate will be a relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, well-versed in content knowledge and teaching strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective curriculum and instructional plans
- Deliver high-quality instruction to students at designated times and locations
- Individualize programs of study based on students' needs, interests, and abilities
- Provide culturally responsive teaching and clear learning goals
- Deliver small-group instruction to students with cognitive delays
- Write and implement goals consistent with student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer accommodations for student testing and learning as needed
- Collaborate with team members to support student needs
- Utilize innovative instructional strategies and technologies
- Create a conducive classroom environment for learning
- Promote high standards for student achievement and behavior
- Assess student progress regularly and provide reports
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support school policies and rules, and establish classroom behavior expectations
- Be available to students and parents for educational purposes
- Attend meetings and continuously improve professional competence
- Establish open communication with students, colleagues, and parents
- Promote equity and diversity in learning opportunities
- Maintain a safe, engaging learning environment
- Engage with families and community members to support student learning
- Utilize curricula reflecting students' diverse backgrounds
- Support students with disabilities and second language learners
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Terms of Employment
- Negotiated with the Lynn Teachers Union
- 180 days per year
