Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Assistant to join our team at Greenwood Healthcare Center. As a Medication Administration Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and state/federal regulations.
  • Monitor and record medication administration, including side effects and interactions.
  • Account for controlled medications and report any discrepancies.
  • Provide personal care and treatment functions for residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Perform basic nursing care functions, such as vital sign checks and wound care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enter such a program and graduate within 120 days.
  • Understanding of medication administration procedures and successful completion of a state-approved training course.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
