Job Summary

As a Fleet Technician III at Sysco, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles. You will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, as well as diagnosing and repairing complex issues with our vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Perform welding and cutting tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year school and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred, Not Required).
  • ASE certifications & Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
  • EPA section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC & Refrigeration Certification.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Occasionally work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
  • May be required to travel to other locations for training or business purposes.
