">The salary for this position ranges from $27.89 to $40.09 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience and performance.
">Job Description
">We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Specialist - CT Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
">Responsibilities:

- Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatments.">
- Obtain images per protocols, manipulate images according to protocols, perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, demonstrate a thorough knowledge of CT algorithms, and select appropriate window and level setting according to anatomy.">
- Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols, establish intravenous lines, administer IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures, follow correct procedure to determine contrast eligibility, check appropriate lab values before contrast injection per protocol.">
- Maintain thorough understanding of PACS, transmit images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC and PACS, verify and segment images at the QC station, access IMPAX service tools to verify images transmission, complete, modify and/or cancel orders in an appropriate and timely manner, cancel duplicate orders to avoid duplicate billing. Insure that all charge information is accurate. Verify patient identification in accordance with UNC policy, insure that all appropriate demographic information is accurate and on the PACS images.">
- Perform tasks in a timely manner, run the schedule creating a consistent workflow, volunteer to work on challenging tasks, difficult procedures and new research, produce quality diagnostic images, review patient's chart and reports for correlation, maintain a clean and orderly work environment, create and keep documentation of incidents as improvement opportunities for employees and the department. Precept new employees and students.">

- Required Skills and Qualifications:">
- ">
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.">
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible. For registry eligible candidates: must provide a copy of diploma from accredited program.">
- Requires advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.">
- Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and must maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.">
- All imaging specialists are required to maintain current competency in HCP BLS.">
- Prior education, training and experience that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.">
