About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer/Project Coordinator to join our team at EXP. As a key member of our Mechanical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare HVAC one-line diagrams and review HVAC calculations for loads
  • Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases and select and schedule equipment
  • Meet with vendors to determine specification requirements for application and respond to RFI's for the project
  • Solve installation problems and apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exposure to problems
  • Understand MEP/FP work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
  • Deliver appropriate documentation and work with project coordinator and Clients to meet scheduled project milestones of multiple projects
  • Manage and deliver revisions (ASI's, etc) and sketches according to proper numbering convention
  • Understand specific engineering requirements for applications within a market sector and provide existing exp details relevant to projects
  • Direct and mentor Designer level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basis and determine content of drawings and specs for Designers in order to meet the scope of work
  • Develop and monitor work plans in conjunction with other Project Managers and manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
  • Write studies and reports for systems on projects and writes sequences of operations for AHU's, CHW and HW systems
  • Thorough understanding of psychometrics and advanced equipment selection and analysis
  • Knowledge of Fluent in energy software applications and participation in developing life cycle cost analysis (LCCA) for project systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • 5+ years of building HVAC design experience
