We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at AMR in Westchester County. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical care to patients in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and Respond to Emergency Situations: Utilize your Paramedic skills to assess each call situation and determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
- Provide Advanced Medical Care: Utilize medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide advanced medical care to patients.
- Communicate with Patients and Families: Communicate with patients and their loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
- Lead Paramedic Team: Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
- Operate Ambulance: Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow Paramedics.
- Community Outreach: Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Licensure: State Paramedic License
- Driver's License: State Driver's License
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving Record: Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Physical Agility: Pass Physical Agility Test
- Work Experience: Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
