Job Summary:

The Senior System Administrator will be the primary technical resource for Systems Administration and the lead for one of the following areas: NREN lead, CCRN lead, or General leads (Zone D, VOIP, CCAS).

This position requires the ability to assist with the architectural, engineering, administration of Windows infrastructure, as well as participate in the change process and incident response processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Testing of upgrades and patches to maintain Servers and other IT systems.
  • Management tasking includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, metrics collection, maintenance support, and the timely entry of communication and tasking into the ticket management tool.
  • Maintain the patch repository.
  • Work on duties that include designing new server and desktop solutions, installing software, troubleshooting, and training techs and users, as needed.
  • Program in an administrative language as needed.
  • Write and Deploy scripts to support the collection of data from workstations and servers, assist with the deployment of software packages, and perform remediation actions on windows workstation or server assets.
  • Perform a variety of routine and non-routine tasks associated with Cyber/Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) support in accordance with National and Department of Defense (DoD) standards to include the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Conduct systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies, security needs, and user functional requirements.
  • Interact with the engineering management team and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • 10 years relevant experience as a system administrator.
  • 3 years of experience installing patches, performing system updates, managing server and storage processing strategies and providing a wide range of system administration functions.
  • Experience leading daily operational requirements of computer network systems, file servers, and web servers.
  • Certified CompTIA Security + (or certified per the current revision of DOD M).
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

Pay Range:
$90,000 - $135,000 per year
