Job Summary:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring proper training and supervision of all personnel in the restaurant department. This includes delivering prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overall supervision of the department, ensuring seamless operations and excellent guest service.
  • Oversee the bar area, ensuring efficient service and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Complete environmental checklists for the dining room, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests.
  • Spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies, maintaining accurate inventory and minimizing waste.
  • Hold pre-meal meetings and monthly department meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Follow up on established training steps, ensuring all staff members are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent service.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving issues promptly.
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback, using this information to improve service and operations.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours, ensuring excellent guest service and maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Observe, teach, and correct staff's service, ensuring consistency and excellence in all aspects of service.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation, ensuring high-quality products and presentation.
  • Maintain the condition of the dining room, lobby lounge, morsels, mini bar, and room service, ensuring a clean and inviting environment for guests.
  • Assist the manager in scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
  • Participate in interviewing new employees as needed, ensuring the best candidates are selected for the team.
  • Prepare maintenance requests and follow up, ensuring prompt and effective maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily, ensuring accurate inventory and minimizing waste.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role preferred.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of Food and Beverage financials, including cost and par controls.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to all liquor liability laws.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and ability to work to prevent accidents.
  • TIPS Certification.
