Urban Planning Strategist

**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Urban Planner to join our team at the Planning Institute Australia. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for leading on projects that help to implement our Local Planning Strategy.
The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking, research and analysis skills, an excellent understanding of the Western Australian planning system, and take pride in delivering quality work. Experience in many aspects of strategic planning and a track record in delivery is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading on projects that help to implement our Local Planning Strategy through preparation, implementation, and review of planning strategies, community infrastructure planning, precinct plans, Local Development Plans, and planning studies.
- Preparing complex scheme amendments and planning policies.
- Preparing formal submissions to State Government on matters affecting the city.
- Providing professional strategic planning expertise to the organisation.
- Supervising external consultants to deliver the City's projects both on time and on budget.
Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $111,976 plus superannuation. We offer a competitive remuneration package and a range of benefits to support your career growth and well-being.
