We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Government Relations Specialist (Law Firms) in Glen Allen, VA. This is an 8+ month contract with a high potential for extension and possible conversion to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor loans in bankruptcy to ensure debtor compliance with bankruptcy plans and adherence to investor, state, federal, and bankruptcy court guidelines and timeframes.
- Collaborate with foreclosure, loss mitigation, escrow analysis, taxes, and insurance departments to communicate bankruptcy status.
- Ensure Proof of Claims are filed correctly and all aspects of bankruptcy are managed according to investor guidelines and timeframes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for bankruptcy attorneys and customers in bankruptcy.
- Ensure RBS-Citizens complies with all state and federal bankruptcy rules and laws.
- Prevent sanctions from state or federal organizations by maintaining bankruptcy timeframes.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
