We are seeking a skilled School Nurse to join our team at O'Donnell Middle School. The successful candidate will provide high-quality healthcare services to students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with disabilities, including those who are medically fragile.
- Administer medication to students according to district policies and procedures.
- Conduct health assessments, including screenings for health factors impacting student education.
- Provide first aid and CPR as needed.
- Collaborate with special education teachers to implement IEPs.
- Associate's degree from an accredited professional nursing education program.
- Valid registered nurse license from the State of Texas Board of Nursing.
- Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED).
- Minimum two years of nursing experience in community health, ambulatory care, school health, or related fields.
The School Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
