Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated K-8 School Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to students and families for social, emotional, and academic learning needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement student support plans, working closely with teachers and administrators to ensure seamless integration with existing programs.
  • Meet with administration to review referrals and interventions, ensuring timely and effective support for students.
  • Drive the implementation of tier 1 programs, providing training and support to teachers as needed, and ensuring connection with tier 2/3 interventions.
  • Create and lead cross-grade tier 2 groups, providing targeted support to students with specific needs.
  • Maintain awareness of student diagnoses, develop and update plans for tier 3 students, and share with staff as needed.
  • Connect with and support parents as needed, providing referrals to our team and ensuring a collaborative approach to student support.
  • Provide and encourage outside referrals for students as needed, ensuring access to additional resources and support.

Requirements
  • Master's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • MN School Counselor or School Social Worker License (Preferred).

Location and Environment

The successful candidate will be based in the Greater Twin Cities, MN area, working in a dynamic and supportive environment.


Duration and Hours

This is a full-time or part-time position, with a flexible schedule of 7-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.


Salary and Benefits

The salary range is $38-$48 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with Employer Match, Paid Time Off, Flex Time, Short Term Disability, and Life Insurance.
