We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Midwest Comfort. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their HVAC systems are running efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical defects in HVAC systems.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform seasonal preventative maintenance, including cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met and provide exceptional customer service.
- Inventory Management: Maintain a detailed inventory of all HVAC equipment and resources.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act, and adhere to safety standards and company policies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Training and Development: Participate in all technical training and comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems, including advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits:

Work Environment:
Our HVAC Service Technicians work in a fast-paced environment, arriving at our shop near Downtown Des Moines at 7:30AM and typically finishing work around 4-5PM. We provide overtime services, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and all service technicians may be called upon to work overtime calls.
On-Call Service:
We currently rotate our HVAC Service Technicians for weekly on-call. This means that during your week of on-call selection, the technician has our phone number forwarded to their cell phone from 5PM-8AM for emergency repairs. Technicians are never expected to give estimates, schedule maintenance, or take sales calls outside of business hours. This is strictly for emergency services for overtime charges for the customer.
