Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of staff accountants and accounting clerks, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including GAAP financial statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the posting of cash, entering payables, and preparing financial statements for individual Trust clients.
  • Supervise the processing of refunds for overpaid member accounts, transfer of funds to correct accounts, and recording and processing NSF's.
  • Reconcile bank statements for claims and operating accounts, researching and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Presentation of financial reports to clients, ensuring clear and concise communication of financial information.

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent years of experience in accounting, with a focus on ERISA benefit plans.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting programs, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
