  • Clerical Support: Maintain a high level of accuracy in clerical tasks, including ordering supplies and managing patient records.
  • Patient Care: Assist in providing patient care by communicating patient needs to nursing staff, communicating with other departments, and ensuring a safe and competent environment.
  • Training and Orientation: Assist in training and orienting new departmental staff, ensuring a smooth transition and high-quality patient care.
  • Departmental Policies: Assist in maintaining established departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication between nursing units and ancillary departments, promoting problem-solving and improved patient care processes.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduate or GED
  • Experience: Zero to six months of healthcare-related secretarial experience
  • Preferred Experience: One or more years of hospital-based secretarial experience
