Job Title: Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Resideo. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing thermostats and other related smart home IoT products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or participate in NPI project hardware design, including schematic design, PCB layout, BOM release, prototype build, debugging, engineering testing, and QA & Agency support.
  • Develop PCB layouts, collaborate with mechanical engineers and floor-plan circuits and the size of a new PCB, understand and help improve PCB DFM rules.
  • Lead and direct test technicians in performing testing, collecting data, and validating electrical designs.
  • Engage in conference meetings with global teams, including project leaders and cross-functional teams, to coordinate project progress.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of designs, processes, and test results to maintain clear communication and traceability.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and incorporate innovative solutions into product designs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Major in EE or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware design projects, including schematic design, PCB layout, system debugging, and testing.
  • Familiarity with one or more ECAD tool such as Mentor, Cadence, Altium, etc...
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and motivation for routine tasks, with a strong inclination towards continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project timelines effectively.
