Job Title: Lifeguard

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified lifeguard to join our team at Sul Ross State University. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our students, faculty, and staff while they are using our recreational facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergency response and rescue services as needed
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool and surrounding areas
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations
  • Participate in regular training and drills to maintain certification
  • Assist with swim lessons and aquatic programs
Requirements:
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Current lifeguarding certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a pool or aquatic environment
  • Knowledge of lifeguarding techniques and emergency response procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
