About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Occupational Health team at General Motors. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emergency care, first aid, and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders. This role works towards preventing illness and injury, protecting employees from work-related hazards, and promoting health restoration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer professional nursing care to employees with sick or injured workers.
  • Perform and evaluate various clinical and diagnostic tests to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the plant physician in minor surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to medical standards and protocols.
  • Document medical history and maintain accurate records related to employee health and wellness.
  • Communicate effectively with the Health Services team and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent is required.
  • A valid state nursing license is necessary for this role.
  • At least 2 years of prior nursing experience is required, preferably in occupational health or a related field.
  • Certification in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED is essential.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic computer programs/software is mandatory.
  • Must be able to work an off-shift schedule (evening shifts).
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The estimated salary range for this position is $64,400 - $100,700 per annum, depending on relevant factors.
  • An incentive pay program offers additional payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
