POSITION SUMMARY:
The Surgical Services Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring a sterile environment during surgical procedures.

This position requires the Technician to proficiently anticipate the needs of the surgeon throughout the operation by utilizing extensive knowledge of surgical techniques, instruments, human anatomy, and the preferences of the surgical team.

The Surgical Services Technician collaborates closely with all members of the surgical team during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of patient care.

Additionally, the Technician will be expected to mentor and guide less experienced staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Current BLS Certification, renewed biannually or as required. Completion of a recognized Surgical Technician training program, whether civilian, military, or hospital-based, and eligibility for national certification through NBSTSA (CST) or NCCT (TS-C).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of proven experience in the role of a Surgical Technician is required.
