Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Cupertino, California. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing critical systems in our continuous integration platform, which will impact thousands of engineers and ultimately millions of Apple customers.
You will work collaboratively with various teams and internal customers in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally to find the right solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement critical systems in our continuous integration platform
- Work collaboratively with various teams and internal customers
- Develop secure, end-to-end solutions using Java and microservices architecture
- Build batch, real-time, and streaming analytics pipelines using data from event data streams, NoSQL, and APIs
- Proficiently manage containerized applications using Kubernetes
- Engage directly with customers and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Requirements
- Experience with Java, building application servers, and APIs
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing microservices architecture
- Experience building batch, real-time, and streaming analytics pipelines
- Professional expertise with distributed stream processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Apache Flink)
- Hands-on experience with event sourcing systems (Kafka)
- Proficiency in Kubernetes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage directly with customers

The estimated salary range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200 per year, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
