Job Summary
The College of Environmental Design (CED) at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified instructors to teach studio and non-studio courses for the CED Summer Programs in the following areas: architecture, city planning, urban design, landscape architecture, and digital media.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach studio and non-studio courses for the CED Summer Programs
- Hold office hours and assign grades
- Advise students and prepare course materials (e.g., syllabus)
- Use Cal's electronic resources for course management
- Participate in a teaching workshop for new lecturers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree
- Additional qualifications: a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US visa that allows employment) is required by the start date of the position
- Preferred qualifications: advanced degree (Master's degree or equivalent international degree); or a professional degree or equivalent international degree where applicable in one of the following concentrations: architecture, landscape architecture, city & regional or urban planning, economics, business, real estate, law
