Position Overview

Steel Erectors Association is a prominent entity in the structural steel and precast erection sector, primarily serving the aerospace and commercial markets. We are in search of a skilled individual to support our operations as a Construction Surveyor/Field Engineer on the eastern seaboard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Total Station for construction surveying tasks.
  • Assist in layout processes, as-built documentation, and quality assurance for steel frameworks.
  • Support project management activities, including document handling and RFI tracking.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of surveying instruments.
Essential Skills
  • Fundamental surveying knowledge coupled with strong mathematical and spatial abilities.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and 3D modeling techniques.
  • Highly organized with a proactive approach to learning and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in using Total Station and Auto Level.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to perform hands-on tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and complete projects with minimal oversight.
  • Experience working in construction or industrial settings.
  • Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced, high-concentration environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
Compensation: $29.00 per hour
