Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

The successful candidate will have completed an accredited Speech-language Pathology Assistant program, hold a valid license in Texas, and possess the ability to work with pediatric patients.

Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are preferred.

Position Type: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Qualifications for Speech Language Pathologist Assistant:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • License as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Texas
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Experience in home care settings is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Pediatric experience is a plus but not essential
  • Bilingualism is a plus but not a requirement (English & Spanish)

Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA):

  • Implement a variety of interventions as specified in the individualized care plan established by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Facilitate individual or group therapy sessions focusing on speech/language and oral motor skills, while collaborating with other staff and caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support the provision of Speech Therapy services.
  • Assess patient performance and document findings in the medical record.
  • Comply with ethical and legal standards.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and knowledge enhancement in the field.
