Sysco is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and Diagnosis: Diagnose and repair complex issues with vehicles and equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets high standards of quality and safety.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Supervision: Provide moderate supervisory support to the maintenance team as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in medium/heavy duty truck repair preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: ASE certifications in automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks; EPA section 608 and 609 certifications.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions and varying temperatures. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
