Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Student Success Strategies Instructor

Crimson Services is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty - Student Success Strategies Instructor to join our team. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a vital role in teaching and mentoring students in our General Education department.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate educator to teach College Success Strategies, a course designed to help students improve their critical thinking skills, learning strategies, and goal setting. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in the subject area, thorough knowledge of the subject matter, and the ability to teach, coach, mentor, and inspire learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach students according to the approved syllabus and make changes as needed with approval from the department Coordinator, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and President.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Inform students of all course requirements, materials needed, classroom policies, grading procedures, and project requirements during the first class meeting.
  • Take and record attendance for each class meeting and maintain all class records.
  • Monitor and chart each student's progress through observation, reinforcement, remediation, tutoring, and review.
  • Counsel and advise students, motivate them to do their best work, and report any students with personal or psychological problems that may hinder academic performance or result in potential harm to themselves or others to the Student Services Director and College leadership.
  • Ensure student grading is completed on time and entered into the grade book consistently.
  • Notify every student, in writing, of their mid-term grade.
  • Ensure classrooms are in good order at the end of each class.
  • Provide 3 1/2 hours of learning opportunity for each class.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (with at least 15 credits in the class subject being taught).
  • Thorough knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Ability to teach, coach, mentor, and inspire learners.
  • At least five years of professional experience working in the field being taught.
