Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Host to enhance the dining experience at Maple Landing. In this role, you will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests, efficiently seating them, and ensuring they have a memorable visit.

Compensation: $12-$14 per hour based on experience.


Host Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patrons and guide them to their tables or waiting areas.
  • Provide menus and address any inquiries guests may have.
  • Optimize table assignments to balance the workload for the serving staff while accommodating guest preferences.
  • Inform guests about ongoing promotions and introduce their servers to ensure seamless service.
  • Manage guest flow in dining and bar areas, providing accurate wait times when necessary.
  • Assist guests with reservations upon arrival and facilitate future bookings.
  • Handle incoming phone calls to the establishment.
  • Process take-out orders as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand for guest interaction.
  • Perform any additional tasks as required for the role.
Host Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in restaurant hosting or serving is preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service or hospitality setting is required.
  • Ability to deliver clear greetings and farewells to guests, along with understanding their requests.
  • Effective communication skills to relay guest needs to servers, bussers, and management.
  • Proficient telephone communication skills.
  • Friendly demeanor with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
