Job Title: Senior Relationship Banker

The Senior Relationship Banker is a key member of our commercial banking team, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our middle market clients in the San Diego market. This role requires a deep understanding of our clients' financial needs and a consultative approach to providing expert advice and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, providing expert advice on deposit and loan products and services.
  • Participate in community events and tradeshows to promote our bank's services and products.
  • Meet with centers of influence, business brokers, CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals to evaluate and analyze clients' financial and business needs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and departments to achieve customer goals and address customer needs.
  • Makes independent threshold determinations regarding the creditworthiness of prospective clients.
  • Actively manages and maintains existing clients, monitoring their financial condition and business aspects, and responding to their daily and long-term banking needs.
  • Develops individual marketing strategies and approaches to promote our bank's financial products and services.
  • Specializes in particular industries to gain a deeper knowledge of client needs and challenges.
  • Scrutinizes customer and potential customer information for evidence of irregularities, discrepancies, and fraud.
  • Effectively negotiates credit pricing, terms, and conditions with clients.
  • Makes site visits to clients' offices to examine collateral for new or existing loans.
  • Supports bank compliance efforts by completing relevant courses and maintaining expertise on banking trends and regulatory issues.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of financial commercial banking experience.
  • Proven record of developing and maintaining strong customer relationships in the San Diego market.

A reasonable estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary for this position is $110,483 to $165,725. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, experience, and performance. A business line incentive may be provided, ranging from 0% to 1% per loan and 0% to 2% per deposit, in addition to medical and other benefits.
