About the Pharmacist II Role

The Pharmacist II is a key member of our healthcare team, dedicated to improving the health of our patients through innovative and patient-focused care.

We are committed to helping our communities achieve optimum health and enjoy the best quality of life possible. As a Pharmacist II, you will work closely with our team to prepare and dispense medication orders, ensuring safe and effective medication therapies for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medication orders according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel in a respectful manner.
  • Verify daily activities of pharmacy technicians and provide constructive feedback.
  • Perform work within specified times and prioritize tasks for patient safety and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a practicing Pharmacist.
  • Mastery of specialized skills applicable to the current role, including immunization, oncology, IV pumps, EMR, and pharmacy technology.
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialty (BPS) Certification or a rigorous, national or organizational certification.
  • Membership in national and/or regional pharmacy organizations (ASHP, NYSCHP, ACCP, APhA, etc.) preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure, chemical.
  • Occasional extreme temperatures, vibration, wet and/or humid, dust, gases, fumes, mists, odors.
  • Frequent noise.

Travel

The job may require travel to other sites in the Network to provide support and staffing as leadership determines to be appropriate.

Pay Range

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.

The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

Pay Range Minimum: USD $125,465.60/Yr

Pay Range Maximum: USD $163,105.28/Yr
