Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Northern Light Health. This is a full-time position with a 36-hour workweek, working from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
About the Role:
This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. Responsibilities include feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients, as well as changing linens and transferring or transporting patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure successful customer outcomes and maximize unit function.
- Precept new team members on job functions.
- Orient patients to the hospital environment and routine.
- Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives.
- Document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
- Provide care according to the patient's plan of care.
- Label and deliver specimens per policy.
- Maintain a safe environment by complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) registration in the State of Maine.
- BLS certification prior to caring for patients.
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Estimated Salary:$56,400 - $65,000 per annum
