Medical Support Professional

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $43,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Your responsibilities will include feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients, as well as changing linens. You may also transfer or transport patients.
You will communicate and interact with patients and families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare members to maximize successful customer outcomes and optimize unit function. Additionally, you will precept team members on job functions, orient patients to the hospital environment and routine, and attend unit committees or educational peer opportunities to improve quality and engagement.
You will document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner, participate in unit quality improvement initiatives, and communicate important information and patient needs to oncoming staff at change of shift and to RN for follow-up. You will also provide care in accordance with the patient's plan of care, label and deliver specimens per policy, and maintain a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures.
