Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic 4 to join our team at Trimac Transportation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers, diagnosing and repairing complex issues, and ensuring our fleet is safe and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend repairs
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company standards
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to provide own basic hand tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend service manuals
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the shop to repair and maintain company equipment
  • Basic knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance
  • Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and out-of-service parameters for tractors, trailers, and accessorial equipment
