Paramedic ED Specialist

The Paramedic ED role at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital is a critical position that requires a high level of skill and expertise in emergency medical care. As a Paramedic ED, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

• Collect and convey information to team members and attending physicians regarding patient health status
• Perform duties identified in the job description and validated by competency assessment under the license of the Physician Medical Director
• Report to the Director of Emergency Services and serve as a member of the healthcare team through active communication, documentation, feedback, and assistance as needed
• Provide for patient safety, attend meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy, and contribute to the growth and development of self and department

• Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic per state requirements
• Current BLS, ACLS, & PALS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
