Position Overview:
The Materials Quality Assurance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards within our Materials & Processes Laboratory. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently while supporting the Quality Assurance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests and inspections in accordance with Roeslein and customer specifications, as well as military and industry standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to assess materials and their suitability for various applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to operate laboratory instruments and equipment effectively.
  • Collect, analyze, and correlate technical data to support assigned tasks using relevant systems and resources.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, charts, and documentation utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
  • Review and update internal procedures based on customer and industry standards.
  • Assist in resolving supplier-related issues in coordination with Quality Engineering.
  • Perform final and in-process inspections as necessary.

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate proficiency in software tools such as Word and Excel. Excellent organizational abilities are essential, along with a basic understanding of laboratory equipment, including:

  • Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
  • Energy Dispersive Spectroscope (SEM-EDS)
  • Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR)
  • X-ray Fluorescence (XRF)
  • Instron testing equipment
  • Hardness Tester

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for technical school education. Candidates should have 1-3 years of relevant experience, with 3-5 years being ideal. Legal authorization to work in the US is mandatory, and visa sponsorship is not available.
