Position Summary:
The Branch Operations Supervisor is responsible for guiding the daily functions to ensure exceptional customer service and operational effectiveness. This role is pivotal in enhancing company initiatives and outcomes through collaboration with branch teams. Foster a culture where team members feel empowered and engaged in the organization's success. You will collaborate closely with the branch leadership team and report to an Operations Manager or Branch Manager.
Compensation Structure:
This position is hourly, with a starting pay of $28.03/hour.
The compensation range is a guideline and not a definitive offer. Various factors influence offer decisions, including a candidate's experience, qualifications, geographical area, and internal team equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver customer service and guidance regarding the daily operations of a team at the branch location.
- Clarify objectives for team members through projects, priorities, and company strategy while providing ongoing feedback.
- Enhance the achievement of critical operational metrics related to customer satisfaction, sales, safety, and operational improvements.
- Ensure a creative customer experience to promote retention and satisfaction.
- Provide regular, direct, and constructive feedback to strengthen the skills necessary for effective branch operations.
- Oversee counter transactions to offer appropriate support to team members.
- Facilitate onboarding and continuous training for team members.
- Develop work schedules to maintain productivity and appropriate staffing levels.
- Evaluate processes for improvement opportunities using Continuous Improvement methodologies. Recommend and implement changes to enhance defined processes and boost sales and service.
- Collaborate with all internal partners, including Sales, Branch Network, Customer Service Centers, and Onsite Services teams.
- May respond to emergency customer calls outside of regular hours.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service and sales.
- At least 2 years of management experience in a customer service setting.
- Ability to communicate the branch's vision to all employees.
- Experience in training staff on processes, procedures, compliance, and product knowledge.
- Proficiency in computer and software applications, including SAP.
- Capability to operate powered industrial equipment.
